The story at the plate was.....
The Korean team was able to get to South African starter, Robert Verschuren early and often. Lee Seung Yeop was able to deliver an RBI double in the first and Korea struck again in the 3rd with two more runs in the 3rd inning on back-to-back doubles by Kim Dong-ju and Lee Dae-ho.
The story on the mound was....
Son Min-han. The Lotte ace was able to throw 6 strong innings of one hit baseball with 6 strikeouts. He kept the South Africans in check until he was lifted before the seventh. Kim Sun-woo and Woo Kyu-min were able to finish off the combined shut out.
