KIA/SK and Samsung/Lotte were both washed out yesterday.
Woori 7, LG 3
With Cliff Brumbaugh given the day off, it looked like Woori would struggle to score runs yesterday.
Woori hit three homeruns in the first 3 innings to take a 7-1 lead. LG attempted two fake rallies, but couldn't overcome some truly awful pitching from starter Jamie Brown. Brown lasted only two innings. He faced a few batters in the third, but he was unable to record an out. The final line for Brown was, 2 innings(58 pitches!) allowing 6 runs on 7 hits with two of them leaving the park.
Cheong Seong-hoon, Kim Il-kyeong and Jeon Geun-pyo homered for Our Heroes.
LG leadoff man, Lee Dae-yeong did a good job of getting on and causing havoc. He was 3-5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases.
Doosan 5, Hanwha 1
Veteran hurler, Gary Rath, continued his success for Doosan. Rath lasted 5 2/3 innings(85 pitches) allowing only one run on 5 hits and struck out two. The only ball that was really clubbed was a solo homerun by Kim Tae-gyun in the 4th inning.
Doosan thumper, Kim Dong-ju had a very good day at the plate for Doosan. Kim went 2-4 with a homer, 3 RBI and a run scored.
