There was one game played in Korea last night. Everyone else was washed out and it looks like more of the same for tonight.
KIA 6, Hanhwa 1 (7)
W - Lee Dae-jin(2-6), L - Jeong Min-cheol (4-6)
The difference in this one was starting pitching. KIA's Lee(3.64 ERA, 1.47 WHIP) pitched well in the sloppy conditions, while Jeong(5.43 ERA, 1.52 WHIP) was battered for two innings before he was pulled. The majority of the damage came on a grand slam from KIA's Jang Seong-ho(.380/.504/.620, 26 RBI in 30 games) in the second inning. Jang finished the day 2-3 with a homer, 5 RBI and one run scored.
Lee Dae-jin delivered a strong effort. He worked 6 innings(95 pitches, 62 strikes) allowing 1 run on 6 hits and one walk. He struck out 5. Hanhwa did get some nice relief work from Ma Jeong-gil(2.60 ERA, 1 save, 0.98 WHIP). Ma threw 3 2/3 innings allowing only 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6. Between the early damage and the weather, Hanhwa never had a chance to get back into the game.
