Hanhwa 6, Doosan 3
W - Ahn Yeong-myeong (6-0), L - Justin Lehr (0-5), S - Brad Thomas (24)
Game Ball: I'm going unusual with this one. Hanhwa Eagles reliever Ahn Yeong-myeong gets the game ball in this one. Both starting pitchers were chased after the 1st inning. This game was a battle of the bullpens. Ahn worked 4 1/3 innings(74 pitches, 43 strikes) of no-hit baseball to keep the Eagles in a position to win. Ahn was "effectively wild," he walked 4, but he also struck out 6. At the plate, Hanhwa's Kim Min-jae was 4-4 with a double and 3 RBI.
Samsung 13, KIA 2
W - Jeon Byeon-ho (4-4), L - Kane Davis (1-1)
Game Ball: I've got to go with two Lions here. It's a split decision. Samsung manager, Sun Dong-yeol went with a funky lineup. He let Woo Dong-gyun leadoff, followed by Yang Jun-hyeok and Park Han-yi batting 3rd. It paid off. Park went 3-4 with a walk, 4 RBI and a run scored. He did most of his damage before the 8-run 7th inning that busted the game wide open. Samsung starting pitcher, Jeon Byeong-ho was very good last night. Jeon went 8 2/3 innings(117 pitches, 74 strikes) allowing only 2 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks with 2 K's.
