According to the Korea Times, LG ace Bong Jung-geun has been shut down for the last two weeks of the season.
Hanhwa 10, Doosan 2
W - Ryu Hyeon-jin, L- Lee Jae-woo
Hanhwa's K-Monster was solid, while the Doosan pitching staff looked incredibly shaky. Hanhwa starting pitcher Ryu Hyeon-jin tossed 6 innings(91 pitches, 57 strikes) of 1-run baseball. Ryu allowed only 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 2. His left shoulder is wondering why Ryu hates him so much. Hanhwa pummeled Doosan pitching from start to finish. The Bears needed 9 pitchers to throw 9 innings. Each pitcher recorded exactly 3 outs before being pulled. It made for a bizarre box score. Hanhwa catcher Lee Dae-hyeong, 1st baseman Kim Tae-gyun and 3rd baseman Oh Seon-jin all recorded 2 RBI's last night.
Lotte 5, Seoul Heroes 1
W - Jang Won-joon, L - Lee Hyeon-seung
The Heroes scored in the 1st inning on an RBI single from center fielder Lee Taek-geun. That was all the offense they would get. Lotte 1st baseman Lee Dae-ho hit a 3-run homer in the 3rd inning that hasn't landed yet. With the early lead, Lotte starter Jang Won-joon was able to cruise to an easy W. Jang tossed 5 1/3 innings(102 pitches, 56 strikes) of 1-run baseball. He gave up 5 hits and 7 walks while striking out 2.
