I'm not going into details about the game's of the last weekend. I will be back tomorrow with a full preview of the opening series and possibly my picks for the season awards.
Hanhwa manager Kim In-sik has retired from the KBO. After Kim's teary-eyed press conference, it was announced that Samsung Lions coach Han Dae-hwa would replace him. From Mr. Han, "I already told the front to re-sign Kim Tae-kyun and Lee Bum-ho, who will become free agents next year. I also plan to bring in two foreign pitchers." Good luck with that sir, good luck with that. The LG Twins chose not to re-sign their manager as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they looked for a foreign manager to run the club.
KIA wrapped up(finally) the league pennant on Friday night and get a free pass to the Korean Series. SK has extended their unbeaten streak to 20 games(19 wins and 1 tie).

I guess one of those foreign pitchers is not Brad Thomas.
Kind of a surprise that Kim is stepping down. I never thought much of him as a manager, but he seemed to do a nice job with that WBC team, despite not getting production out of a couple of key parts.
Although, he doesn't look to be in great shape, so I guess it shouldn't be a huge surprise.
I have a feeling Lotte's going to upset Doosan, Doosan's been struggling and hasn't had a big game since they blew out Kia a few weeks ago and Lotte's been beating the games they've should have been beating and keeping the tough games close. Lotte in five... more fearless predictions later..
Aaron, if you only knew..What a mess the 2009 Hanwha Eagles were on the field.
