The Chunichi Dragons won't be bringing outfielder Lee Byung-gyu back for another season. The 35-year old outfielder has struggled with the Dragons during his 3 years in Japan. Given his age and his lack of production(28 homers and .254 average in his 3 seasons), he probably won't be back in Japan. A KBO swan song makes sense for Lee. Lee last appeared in the KBO with the LG Twins in 2006. During his 10 years with LG, Lee posted a .312 batting average with over 1400 hits and 123 homers. His best season came in 1999 when he posted a 30/30 year with a .349 batting average, 99 RBIs and 117 runs scored. LG has a solid outfield, but if they chose not to retain slugger Roberto Petagine, Lee could make sense.
