Hanhwa/SK, KIA/Nexen and Lotte/Samsung were all washed out. It was a wet day on the peninsula.
Doosan 5, LG 2
W - Goh Chang-seong (2-1), L - Oh Sang-min (0-1)
Doosan HR - Son Si-hyeon (4) LG HR - None
Doosan starter Les Walrond tossed six shutout innings(106 pitches, 65 strikes), but didn't figure in the decision because he didn't get any run support. Les allowed three hits, three walks and one hit batsman while striking out six. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when first baseman Choi Joon-seok hit a single through the left side with runners on 1st and 2nd. The runner on 2nd was able to score and Doosan took a 2-1 lead. Doosan added another run when Kim Hyeon-su hit a line drive that bounced off of LG 2nd baseman Kim Tae-wan's glove. Doosan infielder came in as a pinch hitter and put the game on ice with a 2-run homer that gave the Bears a 5-1 lead. LG mounted a late rally, but never really threatened to take the lead. Kim Tae-wan might have struggled with his glove, but he went 2-3 with two doubles and two RBIs at the plate.
