LG starter Bong Jung-geun threw like an ace, while SK's Kim Kwang-hyeon continued to struggle. Bong tossed seven shutout innings(102 pitches, 63 strikes). Dr. Bong gave up seven hits and three walks while striking out six. Kim was battered for three runs in 5 1/3 innings(102 pitches, 57 strikes). Kim allowed six hits and four walks while striking out five. LG broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the sixth when second baseman Park Kyeong-su hit a double down the left field line with runners on first and second. Park finished 2-3 with a walk, two RBIs and a run scored. LG added a few insurance runs later in the inning when DH Park Yong-taek drove in a pair of runs with an RBI single. Park finished 2-4 with a walk and two RBIs .
Doosan 4, Nexen 3

Doosan's Kelvin Jiminez and Nexen's Adrian Burnside essentially canceled each other out. Both non-Korean starters took the mound and both pitched fairly well for their respective sides. Jiminez tossed six innings(114 pitches, 74 strikes) of three-run ball. Kelvin gave up seven hits and three walks while striking out four. Burnside also threw six innings(100 pitches, 68 strikes), but only allowed two runs. Adrian gave up four hits, one walk and two hit batsmen while striking out four. This game was tied at three until the top of the eighth. Doosan first baseman Choi Joon-seok doubled to lead off the inning was promptly lifted for a pinch runner. Choi finished 2-3 with a walk, two doubles and an RBI. Doosan catcher Choi Seung-hwan poked a single into left and the runner was able to sprint home and break the tie. Doosan reliever Jeong Jae-hoon threw a scoreless eighth and closer Lee Yong-chan threw a scoreless ninth for the save.
KIA 7, Lotte 5

The Giants jumped out to an early lead thanks to a three-run blast by outfielder Jeon Joon-woo, but the Tigers were able to scratch across a few runs and cut the lead to 3-2. In the top of the eighth inning, the Tigers took a 4-3 lead when third baseman Kim Sang-hyeon blasted a two-run homer. KIA loaded the bases later in the same inning and tacked on an insurance run when outfielder Kim Won-seop drew a bases loaded walk. KIA pushed the lead to 6-3 when first baseman Choi Hee-seop drew another bases loaded walk. Lotte third baseman Lee Dae-ho hit a two-run bomb in the bottom of the inning to make the final look a little better in the newspapers. KIA reliever Ahn Yeong-myeong recorded the final five outs for the save. Lotte starter Ryan Sadowski took the ball for the Giants and threw five innings of two-run baseball. Ryan gave up two hits, four walks and a hit batsman while striking out three.
