Samsung Lions shortstop Park Jin-man will likely leave for the 2010 KBO champion SK Wyverns. It sounds like the two teams only have to agree on proper compensation and Park will be a Wyvern. The Incheon native has expressed a desire to finish his career at home. The 34-year old shortstop started his career in 1996 with the Hyundai Unicorns and spent nine seasons in Suwon before leaving for the Lions in 2005. Until last year's WBC team, Park had been a mainstay on the national team roster since 2000.
Park will likely have a chance for full-time at-bats if his health allows, but could be used as a super-sub all over the SK infield. For the Lions, this likely means that Kim Sang-su will get a shot at keeping the Samsung shortstop job.
