Samsung Manager Sun Dong-yeol Resigns, Daegu-based Blogger Weeps

Samsung manager Sun Dong-yeol announced his voluntary resignation today.

Sun sits in tenth place on the career wins list in the KBO. He's compiled a 417-340-13 record over six seasons with the Lions. He won championships in his first two seasons with the club in 2005 and 2006.

A replacement hasn't been named.

I'm honestly shocked by the announcement. He's one of the better managers in the KBO and one of the more quotable figures in a league full of uninteresting characters. He'll be missed.

yeah, Samsung's having a busy day. Lose a manager and now possibly one of their imports...

Gary Glover signed with SK, so it looks like Pei will have to wait...

...oops...forgot, Kim Dae-yoo will count as a Korean player, so SK still has room to add Pei if they wanna pony up the cash.
