The KBO announced plans to celebrate the professional league's 30th anniversary next week(Mar. 28 - Apr. 3).
The event I'm most looking forward to is NC Soft unveiling more detailed plans for the future operation of the team. It might be nice to show off a logo or at least a nickname and colors. I still like the sound of "NC Soft Knights," but who knows what we'll end up with.
The only other event that interests me is the meeting of the three commissioners of the Asian baseball leagues. Could we see the start of a real Asian "major league"? Could we at least see a loan and transfer system set up between the three leagues? Only time will tell.

1982 to 2011 seems like 29 years to me.. and baseball's been played in Korea at least since the Japanese colonial days..
Kind of weak opening day match ups in the KBO but anxious for baseball to begin at all..
29 years but 30th season...
Hey Matt, this is Jee-ho, formerly with JoongAng Daily... I don't know if you noticed, but I've moved to Yonhap News... Back covering sports full time after about 1 1/2 years on diplomacy/foreign ministry beat... Hope you link to my articles once in a while... At the KBO media day as I write this... :)
BTW, I wrote that above story... English papers pick up our articles off the newswire but don't publish bylines (only at the bottom)...
