Samsung 6, LG 4

Samsung held a 4-2 lead after a three-run rally in the sixth inning. Shortstop Kim Sang-su hit a single to drive in a pair of runs. DH Park Seok-min hit a RBI infield single to drive in Kim.

LG tied the game in the top of the seventh when left fielder Lee Byeong-gyu hit a RBI ground out and right fielder Park Yong-taek hit a RBI single.

Samsung untied the game in the bottom of the seventh when Kim Sang-su struck again with a two-run triple. Kim finished 2-3 with a walk, one run scored and four RBIs.

The Samsung bullpen closed the door on any attempt of a comeback thanks to 1 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball from reliever Ahn Ji-man and a perfect ninth inning from closer Oh Seung-hwan.

Hanhwa 7, KIA 1

KIA HR - None

Hanhwa first baseman Jeong Won-seok blasted a solo homer in the second inning to break the scoreless tie. Hanhwa picked up another run in the fourth inning on a RBI ground out from shortstop Lee Dae-su.

KIA cut the Eagles' lead in half in the sixth inning thanks to a RBI single from third baseman Kim Ju-hyeong.

Hanhwa put the game out of reach in the seventh inning when slugger Karim Garcia hit his second grand slam in the last two days.

Hanhwa starter Jang Min-je actually threw the ball really well for a 21-year old rookie. Jang tossed 5 1/3 innings(94 pitches, 54 strikes) of one-run baseball(none earned). Jang gave up five hits, four walks and a hit batsman while striking out five.

Lotte 7, SK 2

Lotte starter Jang Won-joon picked a great time to have one of his best efforts of the season. Jang threw eight innings(110 pitches, 71 strikes) of two-run baseball. Jang gave up eight hits, four walks and hit batsman while striking out seven. He recorded nine outs via the ground ball.

Lotte first baseman Lee Dae-ho hit a RBI single in the first inning and second baseman Jeong Hoon blasted a three-run homer in the second inning to put Lotte up 4-0. The Giants piled on with another three-run rally in the fifth inning to take a 7-0 lead.

Lotte DH Hong Seong-heun went 2-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored and a RBI.

SK third baseman Choi Jeong was one of the few bright spots for the Wyverns. Choi finished 2-4 with a pair of RBI singles.

Nexen 10, Doosan 5

Nexen battered Doosan starter Kim Sun-woo for nine runs during his five innings of work.

Nexen center fielder Jang Ki-yeong went 2-5 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBIs. Left fielder Corey Aldridge went 2-4 with a run scored and three RBIs. Catcher Heo Do-hwan chipped in with a 2-4, one double, one run scored and two RBI effort.

Doosan made things interesting in the bottom of the ninth. The Bears loaded the bases after scoring a run with two outs. Nexen called on closer Son Seung-rak to get them out of the jam. Son got Doosan first baseman Choi Joon-seok to pop out to second to end the game.
