Every game was washed out...except for...
Nexen 9, Samsung 5
W - Song Shin-yeong (3-1), L - Ken Kadokura (5-5)
Nexen HR - Yoo Han-joon (1)
Samsung HR - Jin Kab-yong (5), Choi Hyeong-woo (16)
Nexen shortstop Yoo Han-joon picked a great time to blast his first homer of the 2011 season. It came with the bases loaded in the third inning. Yoo's bomb broke the scoreless tie and gave Nexen a 4-0 lead.
Samsung picked up a few runs and made it a game for a while. Catcher Jin Kab-yong and left fielder Choi Hyeong-woo blasted solo homers. Choi actually had a solid day at the plate in a losing cause. Choi went 4-5 with a double, a homer, one RBI and one run scored.
Nexen put the game out of reach in the seventh inning with another four-run rally. This time most of the damage came on a three-run double by pinch hitter Oh Yoon.
There really wasn't much worth writing about on the mound. Samsung starter Ken Kadokura was really mediocre. If he hadn't given up the grand slam, he would have given up a bunch of runs. He didn't have his best stuff. Ken threw 4 2/3 innings(93 pitches, 54 strikes) and was tagged for five runs. Ken allowed six hits, three walks and a hit batsman while striking out four.
Nexen starter Moon Seong-hyeon wasn't much better. Moon also stuck around for 4 2/3 innings(110 pitches, 71 strikes) and only gave up three runs. Moon surrendered six hits and three walks while striking out five.
