Kim Tae-gyun Sings a 1-Year Deal With Hanhwa

Free agent first baseman Kim Tae-gyun has signed a one-year deal to return to the Hanhwa Eagles. Kim spent the last two years with the Chiba Lotte Marines of the Japanese NPB. Kim had success in his debut season by blasting 21 homers and driving in 92 runs, but struggled with injuries and poor performance in 2011.

Kim spent 2001-09 with the Hanhwa Eagles. He maintained a .310 batting average with 181 homers and 701 RBIs and was one of the more terrifying middle-of-the-order hitters in the KBO.

No shame in these guys just coming back haha. often times, people don't want to come back after pursuing something "better," for instance, immigrants don't want to go back to their mother countries empty handed, otherwise they'll be perceived as failures.. nothing like this in the KBO,

If Chan-ho's with Hanhwa too, are we looking at a Hanhwa playoff birth??

He only left Japan because it was the end of his two year contract and he was battling injury problems throughout the whole year.
