9th Inning Rally Falls Short, Korea Loses to Canada

Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Game Six

Canada 4, South Korea 3

I honestly can't find a link anywhere to this one. Not even a box score. This link to the Taipei Times is the best I can do.

The story was essentially this, Ryu Hyeon-jin didn't look very sharp. He was roughed up for three in the first inning.

Canada was able to keep the big bats in check. Lee Seung-yeop and Lee Dae-ho were a combined 1-7 with no RBI on the day. Down 4-1, the Korean team did mount a comeback in the 9th with a 2-run rally, but ultimately fell short. With the W, Canada clinched a trip to Beijing in the summer.
