7/10 - Lotte 3, Hereos 0
7/11 - Lotte 4, Heroes 3
7/12 - PPD, rain
Lotte starter Song Seung-joon is absolutely red hot. On Friday night, Song tossed a 3-hit shutout(119 pitches, 71 strikes). Song gave up only 3 hits, 2 walks and 1 hit batsman while striking out 4. All 3 Lotte runs came on a 3-run homer off the bat of DH Hong Seong-heun in the 6th inning. I have nothing more that is relevant or true to write about this game.
Lotte jumped out to an early 4 run lead on Saturday. Lotte outfielder Jeon Joon-woo lead off the game with a solo homer and DH Hong Seong-heun hit his 2nd 3-run bomb in as many days in the 4th inning. The Heroes got on the scoreboard for the first time in the series in the bottom of the 4th. Shortstop Kang Jeong-ho delivered an RBI double to make it a 4-1 ballgame. The Heroes offered up a fake rally in the bottom of the 9th, but Lotte reliever Lee Jeong-hoon was able to save the day after Jon Adkins was unable to record an out. Lotte starting pitcher Cho Jeong-hoon gave the Giants a great effort. Cho tossed 8 innings(96 pitches, 57 strikes) of 1-run ball. He allowed 6 hits, 1 walk and 1 hit batsman while striking out 4. He wasn't as masterful as Song, but he got the job done.
