Former Lotte Giant Lim Su-hyeok passed away on Sunday after spending almost 10 years in a coma. On April 18th, 2000 while playing in a game against the LG Twins, Lim was running between 1st and 2nd base when he suddenly collapsed. It's believed he suffered from a pre-existing heart condition. He was removed from the field in an ambulance, but he didn't receive the necessary treatment quickly enough and suffered brain damage as a result. He slipped into a coma shortly thereafter and never woke up. He was 41 years old at the time of his passing. He's survived by a wife, a son and a daughter.
