Samsung 10, Doosan 1
W - Jang Won-sam (6-4), L - Les Walrond (4-3)
Samsung HR - Park Seok-min (5), Choi Hyeong-woo (13) Doosan HR - None

Les Walrond was knocked around a little, but most of the damage inflicted on Doosan came against the shallow end of the Doosan bullpen. While Walrond did his best to eat up innings, Samsung starter Jang Won-sam was putting up zeroes. Jang tossed six innings(77 pitches, 52 strikes) of shutout baseball. Jang gave up three hits and two walks while striking out five. Samsung shortstop Kim Sang-su drove in three runs while going 2-5 with a triple and a run scored. DH Choi Hyeong-woo went 2-4 with a homer, two RBIs and a run scored.

LG 10, SK 3
W - Park Myeong-hwan (4-5), L - Gary Glover (6-5)
LG HR - Lee Taek-geun 2(5), Lee Jin-yeong (5), Kwon Yong-kwan (2), Cho In-seong (13) SK HR - None

The normally punchless LG Zombies managed to club five homers in this one while SK's defense had some trouble. An error by third baseman Choi Jeong lead to a six-run Zombies rally in the sixth inning. The knockout punch came when catcher Choi In-seong hit a grand slam to give LG a 9-1 lead. Converted outfielder/current first baseman Lee Taek-geun finished 2-5 with two homers, three RBIs and three runs scored. LG starter Park Myeong-hwan didn't pitch all that well, but he ate up a few innings and kept SK off the scoreboard for the majority of his five innings(64 pitches, 41 strikes) of work. Park gave up three hits and one walk while striking out three.

Nexen 3, KIA 2
W - Ma Jeong-gil (2-0), L - Son Yeong-min (1-3), S - Son Seung-rak (12)
Nexen HR - Kang Jeong-ho (9) KIA HR - None

KIA had a 2-0 lead heading into the eighth inning when Nexen cut the lead in half with a pinch hit RBI single from Lee Sung-yong. Nexen took a 3-2 lead with a two-run homer by shortstop Kang Jeong-ho. Nexen closer Son Seung-rak struck out two during a scoreless ninth inning for the save. Both starting pitchers were good enough to win, but both had to settle for an ND. Nexen starter Geum Min-cheol tossed 6 2/3 innings(118 pitches, 68 strikes) of two-run baseball. Geum gave up five hits and four walks while striking out nine. KIA starter Yang Hyeon-jong threw seven innings(116 pitches, 73 pitches) of one-run baseball. Yang surrendered three hits and three walks while striking out six.

Lotte 3, Hanhwa 1
W - Jang Won-joon (8-4), L - Yoo Won-sang (3-6) , S - Lim Kyeong-won (6)
Lotte HR - None Hanhwa HR - Lee Dae-su (3)

Lotte starter Jang Won-joon threw an absolute gem. It's too bad he his pitch count got the better of him before he could finish it. Jang tossed 8 2/3 innings(126 pitches, 84 strikes) of one-run baseball. His only mistake came when he gave up a solo homer to Hanhwa shortstop Lee Dae-su. Jang gave up five hits and two walks while striking out six. It looked like this one would be a 1-0 victory for Hanhwa until Lotte rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth. Lotte left fielder Son Ah-seop started the scoring with an RBI single to tie the game. Third baseman Lee Dae-ho gave Lotte a lead with a two RBI single. Hanhwa starter Yoo Won-sang was the tough luck loser. Yoo tossed 7 1/3 innings(109 pitches, 58 strikes) and was charged with two of the three runs the Eagles allowed. Yoo gave up three hits and four walks while striking out five.
