Weekend Transaction Roundup

Samsung starter Bae Yeong-su tried to sign with a Japanese team, but it was revealed that he has Hepatitis B and would likely be denied a visa. He'll likely return to Samsung. I'm not making any of this up.

Nexen looked to deal closer Son Seung-rak to LG for players and cash, but the deal fell through.

Japanese pitchers are hot commodities in the KBO this off season. Samsung is looking to add Kanemura Satoru and SK has signed a pitcher of Korean/Japanese decent named Kim Dae-yu(AKA Kanemura Daiyu). Satoru's nickname is "The Glass Ace." This doesn't fill me with confidence.

Samsung has also signed former MLBer OF/1B Ryan Garko.

Samsung loses their manager and possible Kanemura as well. Kadokura as a replacement? Satoru's contract was signed, so if they release him, that will count as one of their import player moves...
