6/22 Roundup and News

Hanhwa/Samsung was the only game that wasn't washed out during a wet night on the peninsula.

Samsung 19, Hanhwa 5
W - Cha Woo-chan (6-2), L - Jang Min-je (1-3)
Samsung HR - Park Seok-min 2(9)
Hanhwa HR - Park No-min (1)

About time the Lions got on the other side of one of these blowouts.

Samsung third baseman Park Seok-min had a career night. Park went 5-5 with two homers, four runs scored and six RBIs. He only saw 13 pitches total last night and hit five of them really, really hard.

Samsung backup middle infielder Son Ju-in received a rare start and made the most of it. Son went 3-5 with two doubles, one run scored and three RBIs. Mo Sang-ki got another start at DH and went 2-6 with two doubles, one run scored and two RBIs. He did strike out three times.

Samsung starter Cha Woo-chan threw the ball well enough, but with the run support he received, it didn't really matter. Cha threw six innings(98 pitches, 58 strikes), but gave up four runs. Cha gave up six hits and four walks while striking out one.

Almost every Hanhwa pitcher that took the mound was pummeled last night. Only Shin Ju-yeong managed to throw an inning without getting pantsed. Hanhwa starter Jang Min-je was knocked out of the game after being unable to record an out in the second inning. Jang gave up six runs on three hits, three walks and a hit batsman.
