7/17 - PPD
7/18 - KIA 14, Hanhwa 4
7/19 - KIA 5, Hanhwa 0
Ryu Hyeon-jin looked absolutely awful. The Hanhwa ace didn't make it out of the 3rd inning. Ryu was pummeled for 6 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks. With an early lead, KIA's Aquilino Lopez was able to go on cruise control. Lopez tossed 6 innings of 3-run baseball. He gave up 9 hits and 1 walk while striking out 5. 10 different Tigers scored runs on Saturday. KIA was lead by catcher Cha Il-mok. Cha went 3-5 with a walk and 5 RBIs. Outfielder Na Ji-wan drove in 3, while 1st baseman Choi Hee-seop, shortstop Lee Hyeon-gon and left fielder Jang Seong-ho drove in 2 apiece. Choi clubbed a 2-run homer in the 4th inning.
Sunday's game was all about Yoon Seok-min. Yoon tossed 8 scoreless innings. The starter-turned-closer-turned-starter allowed only 4 hits, 1 walk and 1 hit batsman while striking out 7. KIA broke through with a 3-run rally in the 3rd inning. KIA catcher Jang Seong-ho started the inning with a solo homer to put KIA on the scoreboard. With two outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, outfielder Na Ji-wan delivered a bloop single to score both runners and give KIA a 3-0 advantage. KIA tacked on a few "eff you" runs in the late innings, while Hanhwa never threatened...at all.
