Doosan/SK and Nexen/LG were both washed out during a wet evening on the peninsula.
KIA 4, Lotte 1 (6)
W - Yang Hyeon-jong (2-2), L - Bae Jang-ho (0-1)
KIA HR - Kim Sang-hyeon (2) Lotte HR - None
Ryan Sadowski made his long awaited 2011 KBO debut and looked, well, skinny. Ryan has never been a heavy guy, but he looked thin by his standards. It looked like he had a bought with the flu or a stomach virus in addition to the oblique strain. Ryan threw the ball well enough, but it was clear that he didn't have the stamina to go deep into this ball game.
Sadowski threw three shutout innings(51 pitches, 31 strikes). Ryan gave up two hits and one walk, but didn't strike anyone out.
Lotte drew first blood in the third inning with an RBI single from center fielder Jeon Joon-woo.
Lotte reliever Bae Jang-ho started the fourth inning, but didn't finish it. KIA battered Bae for four runs. KIA left fielder Kim Sang-hyeon hit a two-run homer and right fielder Kim Won-seop hit a two-run single.
KIA starter Yang Hyeon-jong put together a solid outing. Yang threw six innings(94 pitches, 56 strikes) of one-run baseball. Yang allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four.

W - Jang Won-sam (1-0), L - Yoo Won-sang (0-1), S - Oh Seung-hwan (8)
Samsung HR - Ryan Garko (1) Hanhwa HR - Lee Yeo-sang (1)
The two teams traded solo homers during the third and fourth innings. With the scored still knotted at one in the bottom of the sixth, Ryan Garko singled. Garko was lifted for pinch runner Kang Myeong-guh. Kang promptly stole second base and scored on a single from second baseman Shin Myeong-cheol.
Samsung rallied for three more in the bottom of the eighth inning to ice the game. Third baseman Park Seok-min drew a walk with the bases loaded and backup outfielder Bae Yeong-seop hit a two-run single.
Samsung starter Jang Won-sam threw six innings(97 pitches, 62 strikes) of one-run baseball in his first start of 2011. Jang allowed six hits and two walks while striking out two.
